Origen del Apellido Prokopiv o Prokopi 

Hola , quisiera tener el origen del apellido no es muy comun se que cuando mi abuelo llego de joven a la Argentina se lo modificaron , escribi en ruso y ucraniano el apellido me aparece gente con el mismo y de alla , es mas encontre una señora que me presto una agenda de telefono ucraniana y estaba alli el apellido. Espero sus respuestas desde ya muchas gracias.

The surname may not be common in Argentina, but in Ukraine there are at least 1550+ men with this surname.  Following is the telephone list for Kyiv.
 
The ов suffix is as a result of using a Russian link to obtain the list. My Ukrainian connection was busy. And let's not forget the ladies with the овa suffix.
