Szkarlatiuk/Шкарлатюк in Ukrainian
The suffix in surname Szkarlatiuk/Шкарлатюк indicates that origin was possibly Vohlynian ??? Do you have any idea what village or town? Approximately when did Grandfather immigrate to Argentina? What religion did he practice?

I found ten listings for your surname in Ukraine, all women. With the exception of two places, all are tiny villages in Kivertshivskij raion/district > Vohlynska oblast/region. Do any of these place names mean anything to you: Kivertsi, Ozero, Chovnytsia, Nebizhka, Zhabka??? There are also two same surnames in Lutsk, large regional capital city and one in small village, Snizhne, in Donetska oblast/region, very far Eastern Ukraine.

Vohlynian Ukrainians had an old tradition of being Ukrainian patriots. Many were sent to Siberia and Khazakstan right after World War 2. After they completed their imprisonment they were "rehabilitated", but not allowed to return to their ancestral villages.  This may be the reason for one Szkarlatiuk found so far away in Donetsk region.

The surname also appears in villages Prylutski, Zavitne and Dubische > in same district/raion Kivertshivskij.

I just found another village called Snizhne, located in Novohrad-Volynskij raion in Zhytomirska oblast/region, very close to Vohlyn & Rivne regions. This is most likely the village we are looking for, as opposed to the one in Donetsk.

Are you literate in Ukrainian?

Re: Szkarlatiuk/Шкарлатюк in Ukrainian
Hello Hannia! Do you speak spanish?? Well, I asked to my aunt for this information: My grandfather came to Argentine in 1936. He married in Ukraine, Lutsk city, in 1935 with Justina Bondaruk. They practice the evangelical religion- or protestant religion. She tell me also that my grandfather come back to ukraine to visit his brother a couple of time. But now, the contact are lost. I would have to search in an old letter the name of his brother and send it to you. Although I think that his brother died too. Well, thanks a lot!!
