There are 18,823 people with Wozniuk (Вознюк) surname living in Ukraine. 384 of those live in Kyiv, the city.

The Jaukaly surname has been the kind of puzzle, with which I have been having very no luck. Every transliteration I have tried has not worked. Are you sure this surname is not Jankaly??? Something similar does show up in the Carpathian Mountains, in what was once called the Hungarian Kingdom > Austro-Hungarian Empire. I don't think this name is Ukrainian. It may be Slovak???

I can understand your frustration.

In a case like this there are no shortcuts. We have to look for documents, especially immigration records, that will tell us where these immigrant ancestors originated.

When did you family immigrate to Argentina? Are there any family stories that may shed some light? Were Wozniuk and Jaukaly married in the old country? What religion did they practice?
